Mitsubishi Marketing Free Essays
The article entitled ââ¬ËMitsubishi cuts pricesââ¬â¢ was written by Peter Roberts, and was found in The Australian Financial Review website, dated April 28, 2006 (which can be accessed at www.afr.com). We will write a custom essay sample on Mitsubishi Marketing or any similar topic only for you Order Now The marketing concept used in the article is that of the pricing-cutting employed by Mitsubishi in its attempt to increase sales for their new products launch. PRICE-CUTTING Price-cutting is rampant in the car manufacturing industry where the only established price in the channel is the one at which the manufacturer sells. Specifically, Yadin stated that price-cutting ââ¬Ëis a marketing technique involving temporary reductions in the price of a product or service, aimed at increasing market shareââ¬â¢ (2000:300) The concept of price-cutting as a strategy means to lower prices as compared to the original price set mainly in order to increase sales (Wilmshurst and Mackay 2002:279). Alternatively, price-cutting may be used as a deliberate pull strategy in order to achieve lower costs by expanding sales. A companyââ¬â¢s attitude to price-cutting, according to Baker (2000:63), should be influenced by its relative position in a particular market. In Robertsââ¬â¢ article, this marketing concept is depicted when the Australian car maker made massive price cuts across its range, as a direct response to its blunder in the companyââ¬â¢s launch pricing strategy, particularly in the locally made 380 model. The introductory paragraph immediately pointed this out, and in the later part of the article showed how the firm was able to do this, which is by shaving dealer margins and negotiating better supply prices from Mitsubishi in Japan. In relation to the article and the way the price-cutting concept has been discussed in the lectures and in the text book, the two are comparatively alike because of the latterââ¬â¢s discussion of using the price-cutting strategy in already established companies, which is reflective of Mitsubishiââ¬â¢s position in the automobile manufacturing industry. In the same way, Mitsubishi used the price cutting concept in order to respond to excess capacity, falling market share, and dominate market through lower costs, just what the discussions in the initiating price changes similarly pointed out. The lecture notes also implied that customers are responsive to price cutting as long as the perception of brand and product value remains unchanged, which is what the article points out as the expectations of Mitsubishi regarding its increase in sales. In the automobile industry where the market dictates the selling price, this price cut is imperative of Mitsubishi. Crash My Party/Drink a Beer by Luke Bryan free essay sample
ââ¬Å"I am gonna sit right here; at the edge of this pier and drink a beerâ⬠. Now I know what one may think, this is just another song about beer, but that is not entirely true. This song has a lot of meaning that I will soon reveal. Country music tells stories and that is why I am doing a review on a country song, sung by Luke Bryan.I will tell a little history on Luke Bryan and a little about the album and the song itself. First I will tell a little history on how Thomas Luther BryanAKA Luke Bryan became famous. Luke was born on July 17,1976 in Leesburg,Georgia. He lived on a peanut farm with his parents and two siblings. When he was younger he would sing and play the guitar around the house. When he was around 15 he started to entertain small crowds. When he was older he started to work on the peanut farm with his dad,but his dad fired him so that he would go and pursue his music career. We will write a custom essay sample on Crash My Party/Drink a Beer by Luke Bryan or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page In 2007 soon after being fired he came out with his first album Iââ¬â¢ll Stay Me. As the years went on he came out with 4 more albums; Doinââ¬â¢ My Thing, Spring BreakHere Comes the Party,Tailgates and Tanlines, and his latest album Crash My Party. Crash My Party was released on August 13,2013. It has 17 great songs. This album, I would say, is one of his best albums because itââ¬â¢s not just a bunch of party songs. The songs are a lot more serious than all of the past Luke Bryan songs. For example his song ââ¬Å"All My Friends Sayâ⬠, I like that song but its about getting drunk and not remembering anything so all his friends told him what happened.Even though I like that song and album, his latest album Crash My Party is the best. I favor this album because it is a lot more serious songs like meeting new people, being married for along time, and dealing with a death of a loved one. I like all the songs but I do have a favorite song on that album. My favorite song but Luke Bryan on his album Crash My Party would be the song ââ¬Å"Drink a Beerâ⬠. I like this song because it not only tells a story, but a true story about Luke. When Luke Bryan was just starting his career his brother was is a fatal car accident. Onl y a couple of months later his sister died at the farm of unknown causes. Luke Bryan only had one brother and one sister, so losing them both in a short period of time was heartbreaking. In the song ââ¬Å"Drink a Beerâ⬠. He will sit on pier at the edge of a pier and drink and reminisce about good times that you had together. He says that death will happen by Godââ¬â¢s choice and that you will get through it. Even though its a sad song, its a good song full of meaning and feelings. In this review I told a little history about Luke Bryan, about his albums, and my favorite songs of his. Country music tells stories especially Luke Bryan. If you ever get the chance to listen to him you should, he is very talented. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m gonna sit right here,at the edge of this pier, and drink a beerâ⬠. Now whenever I hear the song ââ¬Å"Drink a Beerâ⬠I think about Luke Bryanââ¬â¢s story behind the song.

Clothing company HRM
In contemporary business environments, companies need to adopt effective human resources management policies; an effective personnel management strategy goes further than ensuring that employees are motivated to perform their duties diligently to involve respecting their human rights and fundamental freedom.Advertising We will write a custom case study sample on Clothing company HRM specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This paper is a response to a case study of an international clothing company that has had issues of disregard of human rights. The paramount factor for the company as far as human capital is concerned According to the case, the company saw employees as the line or pathway through which they would earn profits and revenue for the company. The main focus of the management was to have increased revenue and disregarded the way employees gave the results. With the managing style, the management was kept to ensure that emplo yees were loyal to the company and worked for the benefit of the company. However the challenge that the company had was that the management was not willing to listen to the demand of employees. The management never was willing to negotiate with unions and neither did it to respect human fundamental rights and freedom. Business risk and Merits to Do nothing with the situation When the company decides not to react on the demand of human capital and opt to retain the same method of operation, the company might get negative publication. Negative publication means that the company will lose business as it will be portrayed as an un-ethical company that does not respect the demand of its employees. Customer loyalty will be eroded by negative publicity of an organization; it will give competitors an upper hand. Cease using contractors Given a chance to control people directly, I will use an integrated human resources management system. The management system I would enact would ensure that human rights have been respected and employees have been motivated. When such policies are adopted, the company will gain positive publicity which will work for its benefit. The risk that would be there is to change organizational culture that the company already had. Make changes to contractors When the structure of contractorsââ¬â¢ human resources management is changed to adopt an effective leadership method, the company will be able to adopt policies that will ensure human rights have been respected and staffs are motivated. What should be changed is the approach taken by the contractors and ensures that the policies adopted are quality.Advertising Looking for case study on business economics? Global Warming - Essay Example His claim is based on the fact that man has the ability to create artificial tropical living conditions through warm clothing and heated offices and homes. The species too are threatened not by the climate change but by the destruction of the habitat such as deforestation. The climate according to this biologist is being used as a scapegoat to divert the attention from other environmental crimes. Warming temperatures promote biodiversity ââ¬â the warmer the regions is the more diverse its species. The greenhouse effect could help improve biodiversity in the long run. Reichholf explains that biodiversity reached its peak a few million years ago when it was much warmer than it is today. In fact when the ice ages came and the temperatures dropped, species became extinct especially in the north. In warmer climates species receives new habitats. In warmer climates survival is easier. At the same time consensus is growing among scientists, governments and businesses that something must be done to combat the climate change. The nationââ¬â¢s largest utility companies have been forced to ensure that they reduce the emissions of the gas that are believed to be warming the earth as it threatens the economy, the health, the natural resources and the childrenââ¬â¢s future (Business Week, 2004). The Bush Administration does not believe that the Kyoto protocol and the mandatory curbs would help the situation; it would on the contrary cripple the economy and hence advise new low-carbon technologies. The scientists do not foresee any danger because the planet is only going to be slightly warmer and there is nothing that can avoid it. The scientists claim that carbon dioxide and other gases act like the roof of a greenhouse. Energy from the sun can pass through easily and some of the warmth that would be naturally radiated back remains trapped, thereby warming the plan et. If

Academic Remediation - Essay Example One Act that addresses the problem of academic remedial is the College and Career Readiness Act that was passed in 2007 by the state of Illinois. This Act purports that the academic remediation problem can be significantly serious because of its impact on financial aid and time taken to complete a degree. High school curriculum is not highly aligned to college education. This misalignment creates problems for students who want to use academic remediation as an entry into college course work. Academic remediation is also not particularly well designed in a way that bridges the informational gap between high school and college.
